My current craft obsession is painting wood signs... and last week my sister asked if I could do a skateboard for her neighbors wedding. Ummmm, sure why not?!
I was told that they are going to use it in their wedding pictures and then as the guest book. {What an awesome idea!} It needed to say "Meet the Morgans" and the date so I came up with this design. I am in love with the way it looks... I just wish that I needed a sign for myself. By the way... how many personalized signs are too much in one house?
And the back... just for the future Mr. at his request.
Here is a picture of their little {pro in training} skateboarder and my nephew. Wouldn't it be such a cute wedding picture with him holding the skateboard sign? Maybe it's because the skateboard is almost as big as he is... but he is too cute! {my nephew is too cute pretty handsome himself... I just wish he would stop growing}
Happy almost Wedding Day to the Morgans! I hope you enjoy your skateboard sign!
p.s. don't try to use vinyl as a stencil on a skateboard... the adhesive doesn't come off. BUT I did learn that Goo Gone will remove the adhesive without ruining acrylic paint. That was a savior!! If I ever do another board... it's vinyl only for this gal!

What a great idea for a wedding guest book. Great job on the skateboard! I had a friend recently use a surfboard as their guest book. How creative these brides and grooms are now a days. It makes me kinda wish that I could do my wedding all over again.
