Dog Toy Crate

I know you have seen these crates at Michaels... I have been eyeballing them for months trying to think of something that I needed them for.  

Finally it came to me, I needed an area to keep the few dog toys that have managed to stay inside the house.  (we have a rule, no dog toys in the house)  Ok, I don't always follow the rules and instead for them rolling all over the floor they needed a space so that they could stay inside.  Here is what I came up with.  It is perfect and cute so it doesn't look out of place in the living room.

I painted the crate and then sanded the edges for a little distressed look.  Then I used my Silhouette to cut a stencil and then I painted the lettering on.  I had this super cute flower laying around waiting to be used... I clipped it on so that I could remove it later if I wanted to.  (luckily my dogs don't even know the flower is there so it's not going to be eaten)

Now I am contemplating bringing all the toys inside so that I can fill the crate.  (shhhhh... don't tell!)

I got all dressed up for the holiday... well, my nails did any way!  I did not win the Mega Millions last night... so I painted gold coins on my nails to make me feel better about it.

I AM wearing green and I will not be getting pinched this year!! (finally, I always forget!) I am off to enjoy some green beer.

3 years ago today I married my best friend and became Mrs. Hubbard.  

We had a very laid back Anniversary this year.  We went to Red Robin for dinner and now we are just hanging out at home.  I didn't even get ice cream!  OK, it was only because I was too full from dinner.  Geez, we are so old!  

Now if we could just get my car back I might get my present!  I know... subwoofers weren't what you were thinking of an Anniversary present? We started the sound system in my car for Christmas... so it has to be completed some how... why not, I can get jewelry for another occasion, right?!?!?

Saturday Fun

Summer and I went to the Little Penelope Lane Boutique on Saturday.  There were some great vendors and I collected everyone's business cards even though I didn't buy much.

I only got a few things... I couldn't resist these.  They are hair clips, but wouldn't they be cute to "top off" a wrapped gift.  double duty love

Summer made me take pictures in the photo booth. Oh geez we are dorks.  

It was a shopping kind of day.  I was supposed to get one thing from CVS... but Tuesday Morning was calling my name so I stopped in.  I had no idea that they had a small craft section!  Look at the goodies I found!  See that in the background?  Yea, it's 12'x24" designer paper!  Now I need to order a new mat!

And then... I received an call from Summer for an  impromptu crafting par-tay.  I had pinned this tutorial a while ago and I really wanted to try it.  Perfect night for trying a new craft, right?!?!  Well, it didn't really go as planned... I could not for the life of me get my petals to stick to the bud and if I did I ended up breaking them off when I pushed the next one on.  We tried to get the whole bunch melty (yea that is a word) and then get a petal melty and stick them together... but no.  And then... Miss Summer dropped her flower in the candle... and then even hot glue couldn't help. After a little over an hour... this is all I had. fail. Maybe I will try E6000 before I throw it away if that doesn't work, I give up!

My Loot

Way back... in February I won a giveaway from Michelle at The Momma Bird and Summer at Made by Munchie's Mama.  Well, I am finally getting around to posting a picture of my lovely prize.

It's so purdy, I love it!  Ummmm, yea please ignore those ugly vines they came with the house and we haven't gotten around to doing the kitchen... yet.

What is in your purse? {Tuesday Ten}

Todays Tuesday Ten is "10 Things in Your Purse" and I think that topic is great!  I mean, I carry everything, so it's nice to know other people do to... ummm, you do right?!

My purse is full of goodies!  First, here is a picture of my handbag purse just for Salena!

The outside is purdy... but let me introduce you to the mess... yea, I can't find anything... ever.

It is my catch all for everything and I never empty it out.  I just throw stuff in and it finds itself a home somewhere in the bottom.  My sister says it is like the Mary Poppin bag, I pull the most random things out of it.  I might go over 10 things today... LOL.  At least this post gives me a reason to go through the thing and clean it out, right?!?!  Maybe I carry too much and that is why my back hurts?  Nah, couldn't be.

In my purse: iPhone, makeup bag, my business cards, random business cards (see anyone you know?), tons of keys, thumb drives, lotion, wallet.
Not shown: EOS lip balm, hand sanitizer, empty contact lens case, random receipts, loose money, bobby pins and hair ties, my point and shoot camera, Excedrin, rewards cards, vet bills, the hubbys Rx, our paychecks (oops, I meant to deposit those), and 3 granola bars (just in case), 2 Alka-Seltzer Colds from when I was sick last week, and a pencil grip that I just took from my nephew.

I think that is 10... or 20 something.

Thanks for making me clean it out!  Now when the hubby hears "it's in my purse" he won't shutter.

Good thing I don't have kids, I would need a bigger purse!
